Practica: Books We Can't Live Without Practica discovers books which have gone out of print for whatever reason, and brings them back to life, and back to market. We realize that there are many derserving writers who encounter any number of difficulties getting their efforts into print, and the attention of the reading public, but that is the work of others. Our attention is with those books that have fallen from the lists of publishers more concerned with persuing the new than with preserving the good. And fugitive writings that never received the attention and care they deserved in the marketplace. Books that help us understand ourselves, the world, and our place and purpose in it. Our current interests are practical non-fiction works of some distinction: social and cultural history and affairs, biography and reference.
